It’s been awhile, but I’ve finally got some vaguely camping-related information to update. You guessed it, I’ve been drooling over Amazon.com and dropped some coin. What’s on the menu?

I love watching and learning from Les, and the few pages I’ve thumbed so far, have really enjoyed reading this book.

It’s been really cold and we got a decent snow this week. As a result I’ve been dipping into some comfort foods. One thing that’s great on a cold day is a nice big bowl of French Onion soup. It’s really not that difficult to make, and it’s bottom-slurping good. I’ve been really disappointed lately, because despite having some interesting meals and gatherings, I’ve been suffering from a broken camera. Well, I’ve finally purchased a new one! So, I’ve got not just a couple photos this round, it’s actually an overabundance of them.

This is a dish I’m glad to say turned out really, really, well. I’ve been dreaming it up for weeks, basically enchanted by the idea of marrying Russian and German inspired potatoes together.
