Sweet New Parts for the Slostice
Got a couple of brand new parts coming for my GXP. Slo-stice, very soon she’ll no longer be!
First off, a new blow-off valve spring to “crisp” up the performance a bit. We’re talking more of a sound aesthetic here than anything, a very simple and quick modification at that.
Also I have a very attractive “Aggressive” color-matched red cold air intake from Dejon Powerhouse coming in the mail.
Last, and definitely not least, I’m shipping the factory computer off and having it loaded with a race tune. Massive gains, and the ability to finally take advantage of the intake and exhaust work. I’ve chosen PCMForLess. Fantastic customer reviews all over the Solstice Forum. Essentially it raises the boost, horsepower and torque, plus removes the speed limiter, and raises the redline. Lose the ability to drive the car a couple days while it ships there and back…but those are livable growing pains.
Exciting stuff! I’ll post pics when I get it installed. I have Dejon intercooler pipes in red, but it’s pre-drilled for a methanol injection rig, and I haven’t decided yet that I want to add that, so the stock charge pipes stay for now.
